Branch Manager and Investment Advisor Representative
After attending flight school, Steve pursued a degree in business at Northern Michigan University. He enjoyed a ten year career in sales before moving to Traverse City in 1996 with his wife Bev, and their four children.
Before becoming a partner at Northern Financial Management, Steve was employed for twelve years as senior financial advisor with JP Morgan Chase.
Steve likes spending time with his family, being outdoors, and especially working on their lavender farm in Northport.
Investment Advisor Representative
Dave earned his degree in economics from Denison University. He’s also a National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) graduate. After Denison he joined Playmakers in Okemos, MI, one of the premier running stores in the US. In 2003 he decided to pursue his interest in investing and financial planning and joined Mass Mutual’s East Lansing office. In 2009 Dave moved from East Lansing to Traverse City with his wife, Nicole, daughter, Natalie and son, Jake. In 2017 Dave joined Northern Financial. Dave enjoys playing outdoors; especially coaching soccer, running, boating, riding bikes, and watching his kids play soccer.
David Beauchamp, CFP™
Dave started in the financial services industry with us in 1989, and has taught financial seminars at Northwestern Michigan College since 1994. He has a B.A. in Financial Administration from Michigan State University and holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation (CFP™).
Dave focuses on all areas of financial planning and personal protection. He works with a diverse group of individuals and small businesses including federal, postal and school employees with a focus on maximizing their pensions. In addition, Dave is an authorized agent for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and is responsible for all group insurance for the agency.
Dave is a member of the Financial Services Institute (FSI) in Washington, D.C. . FSI advocates for Main Street Americans’ access to unbiased, affordable financial advice, delivered by a growing network of over 35,000 independent financial advisor members.
When not in the office, Dave enjoys cooking, downhill skiing, spending time at the beach and being a soccer dad.
Investment Advisor Representative
Steven Adams brings a wealth of financial and business experience to Northern Financial Management, most notably from his work with Ohio Referral, a home warranty and liability company that serves clients in seven states. Prior to beginning with Northern Financial Management, Steven led Ohio Referral as its CEO, and effectively operated as the organization’s sales and marketing director as well. This allowed him to acquire considerable business experience and gave him a passion for working closely with clients and helping them to reach their business and financial goals. He left the company to pursue that passion, and his burgeoning love of investing. Steven also has years of experience working with major wire house brokerages. Through his tenure with some of the nation’s most prestigious brokerage firms, Steven obtained invaluable industry experience.
Steven is an Ohio native with academic experience from St. John’s Jesuit and Ohio State University and holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, plus several Michigan insurance licenses. He has been happily married since 1988, and he and his wife have three daughters and a son. In his spare time, Steven enjoys sports, weight lifting, photography, art, reading, and spending time with his family.
Stephen Anable, CLU®, ChFC®
After attending Northern Michigan University, Steve entered the insurance business in 1973. He was a branch manager for a large national insurance company before starting his own agency in 1979. In 1982, Steve added investment services to the agency’s offerings.
Steve holds several designations enabling him to provide both competent and knowledgeable service to his clients. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®). Steve is affiliated with many organizations including the Financial Services Institute (FSI) in Washington, D.C. FSI advocates for Main Street Americans’ access to unbiased, affordable financial advice, delivered by a growing network of over 35,000 independent financial advisor members.
When not working, he enjoys doing anything involving the outdoors including hunting, fishing, downhill skiing and mountain biking.
